to Carl-Mauritz Gustin
Carl-Mauritz
Gustin has not only played the title part but has worked loyally and
enthusiastically for the Frösö Festival since 1935. To stage
a dramatic work of the size and complication of Wilhelm Peterson-Berger's
Arnljot with amateurs alone poses numerous problems. Through
his personality and passionate interest Carl-Mauritz Gustin has given
the large cast a strength and unity enabling Wilhelm Peterson-Berger's
great gift to Jämtland to live and to be experienced by a wide
audience, including numerous visitors. To have taken part in the same
dramatic work for 28 years without a single replacement is truly unique
and praiseworthy.
